The history and tradition of the GREIN name started in Graz in 1856 when Eduard Grein set up his small workshop which was the beginning of something that would grow and develop over the years. Today the company is in its sixth generation with the current managing director of GREIN Philipp Petrasch at the helm.
GREIN has gone from strength to strength in terms of initiatives and innovation thanks to the trust and loyalty shown by its customers and a dedicated team of multilingual experts. It has managed to expand and strengthen its name in the stone industry and boasts a total of 11,000 m2 of warehouses used for sawing, processing and displaying marble, granite, onyx and stone from all over the world.
The company’s strengths lie in focusing on developing their own technology, research, using cutting-edge machinery and creating innovative designs.
Since 2011 GREIN has focused on harnessing the largest source of energy and life known to man, the sun. Thanks to its 760 kW PV system the company has reduced atmospheric emissions by more than 400,000 tons of carbon dioxide and is able to cover the company’s entire energy needs including production.
